Anorexia Unit, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, Ryhov County Hospital, Jönköping
Our vision is to provide high-quality specialist care in child and adolescent psychiatry with the patient and family at the center. We offer you a meaningful patient-centered work based on evidence and existing knowledge.
We are looking for someone who wants to be part of an organization where good care for every child, quality, and joy at work are central.
The Role of the Caregiver
As a caregiver in the day care of the anorexia unit, you will work with nursing tasks for day care patients. The work also includes case management, with a special assignment to ensure that the assigned patient and their relatives receive good care during their stay in day care.
As a case manager, you will have conversations with the patient where the treatment is evaluated and revised, and where the patient's mental care status is monitored. You will also report on the patient's condition and treatment plan during rounds. If necessary, you will participate, together with therapists with CBT competence or social workers, in family conversations as well as in collaborative meetings or other gatherings and discussions related to the patient.
The basic schedule is Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. One day a week, the day care is staffed by two employees until 6:00 PM, based on a rotating schedule. If needed, you will also perform tasks for caregivers in the clinic's other units.
The position is a full-time temporary position starting on April 1, 2026, and is expected to last until January 31, 2027, with the possibility of extension.
The temporary position is linked to the planned absence of regular staff and may therefore change or be withdrawn if circumstances change.
Your Future Workplace
The anorexia unit consists of day care and outpatient care where we work closely together around the patients we meet. In the outpatient team, there are social workers, psychologists, as well as specialist nurses and caregivers with CBT competence. In day care, nurses and caregivers work. The unit also has specialist doctors. In total, we currently have 11 therapists, one specialist doctor, and one area manager in the unit.
The anorexia unit is part of the regional child and adolescent psychiatry clinic. The child and adolescent psychiatry clinic also includes 'One Path In, Children and Youth Mental Health,' which is our joint reception unit for child and youth health and child and adolescent psychiatry. Here, triage to the right level of care is done through interviews and telephone advice. The regional clinic also consists of three outpatient clinics located in Nässjö, Värnamo, and Jönköping. Together, we also have a regional inpatient ward (Ward 61), located in Jönköping, which provides round-the-clock care.
In total, we currently have about 150 employees in various professions within the clinic providing psychiatric specialist care to children and adolescents in 13 municipalities in the region. Together, we meet children and adolescents aged 0-17 with moderate to severe psychiatric conditions. We collaborate with healthcare neighbors and other partners to provide the best possible care and response for children and youth in our region.
